Recent Results on Singular Elliptic Equations with Unbalanced Variable-Exponent Growth

Wednesday 11th November 2026 at 10:00

Abstract. The aim of this talk is to present recent results on singular elliptic problems with (p(z),q(z))-growth. We will first introduce the relevant function spaces and weighted variable-exponent Laplacians, establishing the mathematical framework for the analysis of these problems. We will then discuss results on the existence and qualitative properties of solutions, highlighting the main challenges posed by singularities and variable growth conditions, as well as the novel contributions of the presented results.

At the department meeting room (2nd floor Z205), Žižkova 17.

THE LECTURE WILL BE GIVEN BY DR. WITOLD MAJDAK,

Department of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, Faculty of Applied Mathematics, AGH University of Krakow, Krakow, Poland

The lecture is intended for all those interested in these problems.

doc. Mgr. Irena Hinterleitner, Ph.D.
